Last Tuesday, Secretary Walthall hosted a second stakeholder meeting regarding the HCBS Settings Rule. As you recall, in January FSSA issued the Update Home and Community Based Settings Rule bulletin indicating they were implementing a “settings rule pause”. As previously reported, the pause was implemented to give FSSA time to develop coordinated approaches to the settings rule across all parts of FSSA as well as the Indiana Department of Health. A meeting was held March 14 to provide stakeholders a “mid pause” update. INARF’s summary of that meeting and the update are available here. The meeting held April 24 was labeled “End-of-Pause Update”. Attached here you will find the slides from the April 24 stakeholder meeting. We encourage all members to review all of the material. The majority of the information is related to Division of Aging and Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services, HCBS supports and services. Last Friday, the Member Forum included information and discussion on this subject. If you were unable to participate, the video can be viewed using the members only link here.
