INARF Board – During the board meeting I updated you on the status of the planned MLTSS Managed Care program and the state’s implementation plan. In addition, I noted that INARF is seeking details via the RFP review process on key policy decisions. Later in the day on Friday, Kim Opsahl followed up with me on responses to several questions we had pending that I wanted to share with you, as a follow up to the board meeting, details below: Any Willing Provider: From Kim: “As far as MCE contracting requirements go, we’ll have an “any willing provider” clause for the first three years for LTSS providers. This means that MCEs must contract with any provider who meets the criteria of licensure (as applicable) and IHCP enrollment and who is willing to accept the provisions of the MCE’s contract.” Continuity of Care: From Kim: “We will also have "continuity of care" terms that will protect members from a disruption of service during both the transition to MLTSS and in transitioning between MCEs. For example, providers can retain their existing clients who move to MLTSS for up to 120 days--even if the provider chooses not to contract with each MCE.” INARF continues to track this implementation closely and will keep the board and members updated with material updates. Please let John Barth know if you have any questions.
